Do important stuff first

important_stuffMarch 10, 2016

I will admit I am a list maker – BIG TIME!  This is a huge boost to productivity and it can also be an avenue for sin.

I am prone to self sufficiency and when I make my lists and follow them maniacally – I am relying on only me.

I am also a driven individual when I want to see things done. Getting things done isn’t bad unless I have lost my heart in the process.

I have my own important stuff list – it is my list that gets done every day!  Quiet time with the Lord, drinking enough water, puppy play time, and basic hygiene …. That is it.  Everything else is up for negotiation.

I do still make my daily list only after my time with God is done and I typically have no more than 3-5 things daily on it … leave room for change, flexibility and fun.

Let your body rest

When you have a neurological issue, sometimes you just have to toss the to do list out the window …. Scale back to the basics and then just rest. Claiming today as a rest day!

Make up your mind

Sometimes the only thing holding you back is a decision … Commit and go for it.  You and your dreams are worth it!

Strength defined by perseverance

imageMarch 7, 2016

I have heard the saying that which doesn’t kill you makes you stronger …. Sometimes it feels dramatic.  Then others, very appropriate.   This morning reflecting on everything that has happened in my life for the past month and in the lives of people I love – I get it!

Romans 5:3-5 The Message

There’s more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!

Act instead of complicate

complicateMarch 6, 2016

How often do you make more out of something than is really there? I am the former queen over overcomplicating most any area of my life!  If I am feeling stressed, I will strongly consider running for the title again and then God grabs hold of me and sets me straight … Simplify through action – don’t think, do! And more often than not, He is prompting me to conversation instead of hiding behind a screen whether it is a computer, a tablet or a phone!

Always Consider the personal Touch!

Take Responsibility for Choosing

dr seussMarch 5, 2016

The first time someone said to me – not choosing is a choice, I was ticked off!  I thought she was an arrogant fool!  It only took a few years to realize and acknowledge that I was playing the victim card to suit my needs and not take responsibility for my actions.  Life was so much easier when I could sit back and blame my problems on everyone else.

Enter Holy Spirit and the power of conviction!  Each and every one of us has the power to choose.  The consequences for our choices falls at our feet … we will indeed reap what we sow and only God knows when the harvest will be.  Make a choice for you today and always remember how God instructs us to live with others …

Colossians 3:12-17
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Live a grateful life

imageMarch 4, 2016

God is always good! Even when reality is challenging …. We get to choose how we see things. I am so grateful that God chose me before he laid the foundation of the earth and knew my every day before he knit me together in my mothers womb!

Ponder that – he knew that today I would be blessed to wake up slowly snuggled in a puppy pile with Bubby and Zeke. He knew I would see the sun shining through the trees making cool shadow patterns in our back yard. He knew the crispness in the air would be perfect for a walk. No matter what you face today – find gratitude!

Gratitude is one of the best gifts God gave us … When I embrace gratefulness,  I am immediately drawn back into the presence of God.  And anything is possible with God!  It doesn’t matter what I need, if I can find gratitude, I can courage simply because I am standing in the presence of God.

Have courage. Be Kind.

In being bold – I can lose love …. my heart connection.  In anything and everything I do – I truly want to honor God and love well.  Today is my reminder – It takes courage to be bold and it is always a choice to be kind!

A friend shared her notes from a sermon on 1 Corinthians 13:4 … Kindness is a willingness to give everything good no matter the circumstances.

Choose to Be Bold

be boldMarch 2, 2016

How often do you just need to remember the truth of who God created you to be?  How often does the Bible specifically tell us to have courage and stir our hearts towards boldness?

Something I love about my Plexus business is that I get to expand my limits. I am constantly being pushed outside my comfort zone – I don’t know if I can even find my original comfort zone from when I started this business.

Not only am I getting better physically, I am a better me emotionally and spiritually as well.  I am bolder.  I speak truth more freely.  I act on commitments and convictions vs feelings.

I am a better woman because of Plexus! If you want to change anything about your life, I would love help! Let’s be bold together!

Start new events strong

hello-march-blue-photoMarch 1, 2016

It doesn’t matter if it is a new day, week, month, job, project or dream – start out right – start out strong!  For me, this means to reflect, shift, plan, prepare and execute.

#1 – Reflect on where you have been.  What did you learn? How were you grown? Where were you stretched?

#2 – Shift! Does anything need to change? A thought, behavior, attitude, belief … Also take a minute to celebrate what is working for you!

#3 – PLAN! What do you want to accomplish?  How are you going to do “that”? Break it down and evaluate your resources knowing that the most valuable 2 resources are your time and what is between your ears!

#4 – Prepare … Re-write your why. Lay it all out there. Cover it in prayer.  Build in accountability.

#5 Execute – Make it happen … the only thing that can stop you is you!  Get out of your own way!
